Warner Bros Announce THE BATMAN And WONDER WOMAN For 2017 Release; JUSTICE LEAGUE To Follow In 2018

BURBANK, CA, April 1, 2014 – The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Picture, that "The Batman" and "Wonder Woman" have been greenlit for provisional 2017 release, to be followed by "Justice League" in 2018. Silverman stated, “The genre has become so popular that we feel confident in the success of Zack Snyder's [Superman/Batman] film. DC has such a pool of great characters that it would be criminal for us to delay adaptations any longer. We are thrilled to announce these three pictures in development. The success of 'Man of Steel' was a wonderful testament to the love and support that both fans and new audiences, worldwide, have for DC characters.” Diane Nelson, President, DC Entertainment, noted, "Getting all of the DC heroes together on the big screen is a dream come true for DC fans everywhere. All of us at DC Entertainment could not be more excited to see the development of the DC Universe on the big screen.”
