Marvel movies are always very popular with general audiences, and usually most critics too -- but they very rarely get any awards recognition outside of special effects categories. This morning the Writers Guild of America announced its nominees, and Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy (written by James Gunn and Nicole Perlman) has been nominated for best Adapted Screenplay. The rest of the nominees are not so out of left field, and include the likes of Nightcrawler, Gone Girl and Boyhood (full list below). Not bad for a bunch of intergalactic a-holes!
