Michael Keaton Wins Best Actor In A Comedy/Musical For BIRDMAN

Written By Unknown on Sunday, 11 January 2015 | 20:49

Michael Keaton has always been a CBM fan-favourite, and most of us were delighted to see him return to the big screen for a leading role in Birdman, playing an actor best known for portraying a winger superhero in a series of blockbusters. Though Alejandro González Iñárritu's flick lost out to Grand Budapest Hotel in the best motion picture musical or comedy category, Keaton did pick up the award for best actor. In his speech he thanked his director, stating “there’s not a person in this room who won’t show up for your next gig, my brother.” He then thanked his family and friends “all over the world,” choking up as he mentioned his very best friend: his son, Sean. Amy Adams (Man Of Steel) also won for best actress in a comedy/musical, and Julianne Moore (The Hunger Games) picked up the award for best actress in a drama. The Lego Movie and Big Hero 6 lost out to How To Train Your Dragon 2 for best animated feature, however. Did you watch the Golden Globes? Happy with the winners? Think anyone was snubbed?
