Ray Palmer's 'Atom' Suit From Latest ARROW Promo Was A Fake

Fans of the video game Fallout 3 thought the A.T.O.M. outfit from yesterday's Arrow promo looked very familiar, and they were right. The international TV ad for Wednesday's mid-season finale clearly showed Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) gesturing towards whatever was going to help the latter "protect the people" of Star City, but what was then shown on screen was not the superhero costume Palmer will eventually don. The guys at Quiver Podcast reached out to Arrow concept illustrator Andy Poon, who confirmed the image was faked, and that the real suit “looks nothing like that.” He wouldn't say whether we'd get a look at the actual A.T.O.M. costume tomorrow night when “The Climb” airs on The CW at 8/7c, but I'd say it's a good bet given what we saw from the promo.

RA'S AL GHUL GIVES OLIVER AN ULTIMATUM; DINAH LANCE PAYS LAUREL A VISIT - Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) returns to Starling City and tells Oliver (Stephen Amell) that her father, Ra's al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable) has given Oliver 48 hours to find Sara's killer or the League of Assassins will start killing the citizens of Starling City. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is stunned when her father (Paul Blackthorne) delivers a very special Christmas gift - her mother, Dinah (guest star Alex Kingston). Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tries to make amends with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Oliver sets a meeting with Ra's al Ghul. Thor Freudenthal directed the episode written by Jake Coburn & Keto Shimizu (#309).

Tune in to see "The Climb" on the CW, December 10th.
