Entertainment Weekly has just posted some fantastic retro images of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens cast that finally reveals the names of some of the newcomers. The images are done up to resemble the trading cards that Topps created for the original 1977 Star Wars . Thanks to these images we now know the soccer ball droid is 'BB-8,' Oscar Isaac is 'Poe Dameron,' the crossguard lightsaber weilding villain is named 'Kylo Ren,' Daisy Ridley is simply 'Ren,' Stormtroopers are still Stormtroopers, and John Boyega is playing 'Finn.'
Star Wars: Episode VII - Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film. It's being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.
