Check Out This Fan-Made Mock-Up Of THE FANTASTIC FOUR's 'Doctor Doom' Insiders Say Is "Pretty Damn Close"

When a few on-set images depicting Doctor Doom battling the Thing and the Human Torch over green screen was leaked a few months ago, the internet was divided. Some people accepted the new look for Victor Domashev while others did not. As you can imagine, 20th Century Fox wasted no time sending cease and desist letters to every website faster than the Human Torch could fly. One of those websites, This Is Infamous received two of them and after ridding themselves of the photos of the Fantastic Four's arch-nemesis, received exclusive information from insiders deep beneath the production of Josh Trank's The Fantastic Four.

Sources told the site "the suit was not finished yet" and that anyone who was under the impression this prototype of the leader of Latveria's costume would make it on film next summer was "jumping to conclusions". In perhaps at an attempt at damage control, they offered the website an "accurate description confirmed by multiple sources" of what to expect appearance-wise from the green-cloaked, metal-faced supervillain which was described as: "Think HALO’s Master Chief with a Doctor Doom mask and that hooded cape.".

With this information in-hand, This Is Infamous assembled their team of artistic talents to design a Doctor Doom that matched the description as closely as possible. The result was so close that it fooled especially one of their insiders who thought "they dug up production art". The mock-up wasn't exactly like the real deal of course, with a source noting "the gold clasps are a little smaller and the armor a little sleeker" actually. Nonetheless, here's a look at the Doctor Doom mock-up created by This Is Infamous that insiders claim is "pretty damn close".

THE FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. (C) Fox

The Fantastic Four is currently in post-production for a August 7, 2015 release in 3D.
