At the end of last night's series premiere of The Flash, we saw Harrison Wells rise out of his wheelchair and looked at a newspaper dated 10 years from now which revealed that the Scarlet Speedster had gone missing in an event which sounds an awful lot like Final Crisis. "Time travel is going to play a big part in the overall series, but one of the things that we will discover is that time is mutable," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly when asked about the twist. "As the good Doctor says, time can be rewritten, so not everything you see on the show is necessarily what’s going to come to pass and not necessarily everything that’s happened is fixed."
Who is Harrison Wells then? There are a lot of theories doing the rounds, with Kreisberg teasing: "There’s obviously more than meets the eye when you see Harrison Wells," adding that despite what viewers think his motivations may not be villainous in nature. "I don’t think anyone’s witnessed him tell a lie yet. I think he’s been very truthful about a lot of things. That will be really intriguing to watch. It’s hard to write these very sweet scenes between Tom and Grant, and you watch them on screen and you see the camaraderie and the friendship and the respect, but also knowing that there’s something deeper going on. Sometimes that makes it exciting, sometimes it makes it sad." We're obviously going to have to wait and see for the time being then, and with the recent reveal of the Reverse-Flash - which you can see by clicking here - Wells is definitely one of many candidates when it comes to who's in that suit. Who from the comic books do you guys think this character could be? Be sure to share your thoughts and theories in the usual place...
