In the following interview with HeyUGuys, Dracula Untold producer Alissa Phillips reveals that while it wasn't originally the plan when they started work on the movie, this release is indeed the first step in Universal's planned shared universe for classic monsters like Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, Creature Of The Black Lagoon, The Invisible Man, Bride Of Frankenstein, and The Mummy. She also teases an extra scene at the end of the movie which sets the stage for future instalments in this particular franchise (providing it's a box office hit of course), so it's well worth watching!
