Christopher Nolan Says He's Most Likely Done With Superhero Movies...But "Never Say Never"

Whether you happen to like his movies or not, there's no denying that Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy paved the way for comic book based films to be taken that bit more seriously. Not that he was the first to take the realistic "dark and gritty" approach that so many fans are actually a bit tired of now, but the phenomenal critical and commercial success of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight (in particular) and The Dark Knight Rises really put the comic book/superhero genre on the map in a way it had never been before. Since he wrapped the last film in the trilogy, Nolan served as executive producer on Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel, but don't expect him to play any role in WB/DC's film slate moving forward..or indeed any other superhero-type movie. "I think I had a great experience with the superhero genre and got to explore a lot of things," Nolan tells Time Out. "But it was a good decade of my life and I find it hard to imagine returning to it. But never say never," Well, at least he's not ruling it out completely. Perhaps one day he'll like a script, or a character, or an idea enough to step back into that world he helped define. What do you guys think? Would you like to see more Christopher Nolan CBMs or do you think he's made his contribution and should move on? Sound off below.
