After the great Interview With The Vampire (1994) was followed by the not-so-great Queen Of The Damned (2002), no further novels in Anne Rice's saga were adapted for the screen. But now Universal Pictures has acquired movie rights to "The Vampire Chronicles" for Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment, and will presumably be rebooting the series starting with the first novel. It seems the ever present Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are on board to produce too. The "Vampire Chronicles" consists of: Interview with the Vampire (1976) The Vampire Lestat (1985), The Queen of the Damned (1988), The Tale of the Body Thief (1992), Memnoch the Devil (1995), The Vampire Armand (1998), Merrick (2000), Blood and Gold (2001), Blackwood Farm (2002), Blood Canticle (2003) and the upcoming Prince Lestat. Be sure to share your thoughts and give us your casting suggestions for Louie, Lestat, Armand and the rest of the melancholy bunch of bloodsuckers in the usual place.
