Is Matt Damon BOURNE Again?

The Bourne Legacy was the fourth film in the Bourne franchise and the first without Matt Damon. Jeremy Renner ("The Avenger") took the lead, playing a new character, Alex Cross. It did well enough at the box office to warrant a sequel. In November, Paramount hired director Justin Lin, who best known for his Fast & Furious work, to helm the sequel, which was written by Sherlock Holmes' writer Anthony Peckham. Yesterday, Paramount surprisingly announced that the film would be delayed. It was originally set to open August 14, 2015, but now it will be released on July 15, 2016.

Well clearly, times have changed. According to a deeply embedded trusted source, the reason Bourne 5 got pushed to July 15, 2016 is because Matt Damon is in fact back to play his signature role as Jason Bourne for director Justin Lin!
