Despite veering off drastically from the comics in many respects (Rick's never losing that hand of his, is he?), last night's midseason finale of The Walking Dead was a pretty damn good 45 minutes of television! According to Deadline, the episode saw 12.1 million total viewers tune in to see The Governor attack the prison, a midseason finale record for the AMC series as it's a huge increase from 2012's 10.5 million. Overall, The Walking Dead has been up 29% in the first half of its fourth season over the first half of season three. It will return on February 9th, 2014.
