Arguably exceeding everyone's expectations, Gravity has now become the biggest live-action October release of all-time at the worldwide box office. After taking a whopping $219.2 million in North America and £207.5 million overseas (where it has yet to open in key territories such as the UK), it now has a cume of over $400 million. Starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, the Alfonso Cuaron helmed movie took an additional $13.1 million domestically this weekend. However, while it now sits at #5, Ender's Game - the #1 movie in North America this weekend - took only a paltry $9.9 million on Friday for a projected three-day total of $28 million. Hardly a great start for a new franchise, and with Thor: The Dark World and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on the horizon, don't expect to hear much more about this one. What did you watch this weekend?
GRAVITY pulled in another $27.1M overseas this weekend, $207.5M total. Worldwide cume is now a massive $426.7M!
