Back in June, Jason Statham - who was said to be in the running to play Bullseye on season 2 of Daredevil at the time - riled up a lot of Marvel fans with his comments during a video interview. The Crank 2 actor said he "could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and then put her in a greenscreen, and then have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it." Old-school action movie fans can probably identify somewhat with the point Statham was making, and so does Paul Bettany - but he couldn't help taking a little jab of his own when appearing on the Conan O'Brien show.
"He's brilliant at what he does - I couldn't do it. I try to do as many of the stunts as I can, but there are times when it's too dangerous or it's too tricky. But if there's a really, really tricky scene with some very tricky dialogue, one might consider bringing in an acting double for Jason Statham."
