Congratulations to Jason, our 2012 winner in the Search for The World’s Gifted Sweepstakes! Above, you’ll find his original submission along with a photo of his hydro-augmentation powers in action! “When I was six years old, my dad and I went to a baseball game. During the fourth inning, it started to downpour. I wanted the rain to stop, so I stared at the sky and tried to will the storm away. Within seconds, the clouds dissipated and the game was back on. The PA announcer called it a miracle, but I knew that I was the one that caused the rain to stop. Ever since then, I’ve tried to strengthen my powers: I can usually move a rain drop out of the way before it even hits my head.”

In some very early viral promotion for X-Men: Apocalypse, two Tumblr pages have launched. The first is Tandem Initiative : A page seeking to unite mutants (or "genetically gifted" as they're referred to here) the world over. You can join up, load a picture, tell your story and also check out some images of others displaying their powers. The other is M-Underground : This page exists to "expose those who wish to create a rift between humans and the genetically gifted." There are images, reports and videos highlighting the various ways in which mutants have been made out to appear as a threat to humanity. Oh, and it seems JFK wasn't the only mutant in the Kennedy family! Below are some highlights but be sure to visit and take a look for yourselves.

Congratulations to Celine, our 2013 winner in the Search for The World’s Gifted Sweepstakes! Check out her original submission, as well as a photo of her showing off her telekinetic powers, above! “I’ve always been able to use my mind to make objects move around. You can imagine how much of a handful I was as a baby! We went through dozens of cribs because every time I didn’t want to go to bed, I’d just tip the whole thing over! My parents are older now, so I use my abilities a bit more responsibly: putting away laundry, bringing in groceries, helping around the house, things like that. They joke that I need to start paying them back for all those years I took off their life when I was younger!”

Starring Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence (among others), X-Men: Apocalypse will be directed by Bryan Singer and is set for release May 27, 2016.
