Greg Grunberg (who can currently be seen on Showtime's Masters Of Sex) is a childhood friend of J.J. Abrams, and actually appeared in the director's first home movies back in the '70s. Since then he's popped up in most of Abrams' projects, albeit usually in pretty small roles -- his largest was arguably playing the doomed airline pilot from Lost. Now the actor has responded to a fan's query by revealing that yes, he will also play a part in Star Wars: Episode VII .
Given the Abrams/Grunberg history it's not likely to be a very big role, but I guess that remains to be seen.
