BOX OFFICE: The X-MEN Franchise Hits $3 Billion Globally

X-Men: Days of Future Past has reached $702.2 million in global ticket sales, pushing the combined total gross of the seven films in the series to $3.003 billion ($1.7 billion internationally, $1.3 billion domestically). Bryan Singer's latest installment is now the highest grossing film in the franchise so far, and if it continues to have legs it could well surpass the $703.2 million earned by The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the $710.7 Captain America: The Winter Soldier amassed. Fox have had a couple of...missteps along the way, but overall the X-movies have been of a pretty high quality, with Days Of Future Past arguably the strongest entry yet. Let's hope that continues with X-Men: Apocalypse and beyond.
