AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON To Feature Harley-Davidson's First Electric Motorcycle

Harley-Davidson has officially unveiled their very first electric motorcycle, and lo and behold, it's the very same motorcycle we saw on the Seoul, South Korea set of Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson's stunt double) was seen riding it during a chase sequence involving Captain America. The partnership between Marvel Studios and Harley-Davidson should come as no surprise as they the two companies have previously worked together on the two Captain America films, The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier.

LiveWire is a radical departure from the rumbling V-twin engines 111-year-old Wisconsin-based company is known for producing. LiveWire reportedly has: 74 horsepower, 52 foot-pounds of torque, 53-mile range per charge, can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds, and has an electronically restricted top speed of 92 mph.

Electric motorcycles have been on the market since 2008, but only make up 1 percent of overall sales. Though, it reasonable to believe more consumers will be looking for alternatives that are environmentally friendly and socially responsible. At the moment, LiveWire is not for sale, but it will be kicking off a nationwide tour in New York next week. No release date has been scheduled, nor is there an estimated retail price.
