when asked about if he felt surprised by the announcement from Warner Bros in August that Ben Affleck would take over the cape and cowl from Christian Bale, he had this to say:

"No, I think it’s… Warner Bros has a fantastic relationship with Ben. He’s a fantastic filmmaker, and a phenomenal lead. I think he’s going to be an incredible Batman".

While Batman isn’t a “super”hero in the sense he doesn’t fly, crush drones with his bare hands, it’s that exact human-only ability which is why many, including Jonah Nolan, like him so much,

"That’s why I like the character. His superpowers were rage and money. There was nothing extraordinary about him. He was an ordinary man, sufficiently pissed off to want and go turn his life into a simple go out and fight crime in the middle of the night".
