Fox is always finding a way to screw-up whatever they’re trying to accomplish. So I decided to look at just a few ways they can un-screw themselves so that they can actually stand a chance against other companies like Marvel and WB.
Collaborate With Other Studios
One thing that would greatly help Fox is if they decided to work with someone like a Sony or a Marvel so that they can expand their universe. I’m not at all saying they should hand over the rights to their properties, but they should consider working with someone else. Especially Marvel, because Marvel is one of the few CBM companies who knows what it’s doing. And if they were to do something like this, it could give them some tips on what they could do to have a good track record.
Hire Fresh Faces
If Fox really wants to draw in a crowd, they should consider hiring some fresh faces for their films. I’m talking about re-casting everyone involved in this stuff. I say this because from the people I’ve talked to who are NOT comic book movie die-hards, they are highly annoyed at the site of seeing Hugh Jackman in every X-Men film ever created. Fox should seriously consider finding another actor to fill the role of Wolverine, Professor X, Magneto, and several others.
Stop Making X-Men Centered Films
This is a given, but it needs to reinforced. Fox should look at their future projects and ask themselves “Should we whole-heartedly make all X-Men films, or should we try something new?”. The X-Men universe alone is vastly expansive, so it’s not like they have a few things to work with. They don’t need to continue making X-Men and Wolverine films. They need to try and work with something unknown, LIKE a Deadpool film, LIKE an X-Force film, LIKE a film about Magneto. Heck, make Blob film and I guarantee you that SOMEONE will go and see it.
Fire Bryan Singer
They need to fire him. And it’s not at all to do with his directing ability, it’s the shear fact that he is a P.R. nightmare. Singer is honestly an ulcer to Fox. Fox would be really dumb if they kept him and allowed him to make more of their films. All he is going to do is bring down their already weak empire. They need to fire him and never look back. Even if this stuff that has come out about him is false, he’s still going to screw up Fox, and that is something they should NOT let happen.
Hire Mathew Vaughn
X-men First Class is easily the only X-Men/Fox film I enjoyed. He honestly knows how to work with what he’s given, and not stray TO far from the source material. With all of that given, he needs to be re-hired and make some hits for Fox.
So that will conclude my article. As always, THUMB AND COMMENT BELOW, I’d really appreciate it.
