Chris Evans Wants To See 'Captain America' To Do What In THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON?

Given that Captain America The Winter Soldier will mark Chris Evans' 3rd turn as the Super Soldier, it's safe to say he has grown into the role--and even admits to being protective of it--since he hesitantly agreed to do The First Avenger in 2010. So, SFX Magazine asked the star if there was anything Steve Rogers has not done yet that he would like to see him do in The Avengers sequel next year. "This might sound crazy, but... be wrong," said Evans. "Make a mistake. He's so concerned with being right. Even the struggle in this one, it's about how to be right. His biggest struggle is just being the best he can be, and if he doesn't achieve that, he really beats himself up. His moral compass is so sound, you rarely see him make a mistake. It's everyone around him dropping the ball. So it would be nice to see a little bit of human error or a human flaw, just immaturity or foolishness, an ego, something. This might sound crazy, but... be wrong. Make a mistake. Obviously, Chris Evans has received his copy of the Joss Whedon-penned Avengers: Age of Ultron script by now, with filming starting next month, but this interview may have conducted previously.

Regardless, there's a separate interview (via Collider), where Chris Evans was asked if he feels comfortable enough in the role that he'd be vocal about something he disagrees with. "Yeah, yeah, I am now," said the actor. "The first movie, I just felt like I was lucky to be around. The second movie, you just don’t want to piss anyone off; there are so many other amazing people here. Now you start feeling like, 'Well, I’m throwing this barbecue, too.' [laughs] It’s a strange feeling being like, “Well, hang on, what if we did it like this?” It’s a nice feeling to come into your own. I think the first movie, we didn’t even… I’d see myself in the suit and be like, “Who’s that idiot in the suit?” It’s starting to feel more like real or home or something, so you do start caring a little bit more. So you do run into those kids and they do have that impact and it’s a very nice thing. It’s a responsibility now. I don’t want to make it sound like it’s gone to my head or anything, you just care a little bit more about making sure this is good quality stuff because we’re going to run the contract. We’re going to do Avengers 2. Probably going to do Avengers 3. [laughs] These things will happen so you want to make sure it’s pointed in the right direction. You don’t want to step on toes, but there’s room to be vocal and that’s the best thing about Marvel. You can be stuck in a contract at a much worse place, a lot worse place. Marvel’s very collaborative. You feel the love from Marvel." What do you think?
