Variety has revealed that The Walt Disney Studios and Paramount Pictures have finally reached a distribution and marketing agreement which allow the former to create more movies in the Indiana Jones franchise. While the House of Mouse gained ownership of the rights - along with Star Wars - when they purchased Lucasfilm, this now means that they can distribute and market new movies; something it's hard to imagine them passing up the opportunity to do. No announcement has been made as of yet however. Paramount will continue to distribute the first four films and will also receive a financial participation on any future films that are produced and released.
